Meet Samantha
Think of the Gold Coast in sunny Queensland, Australia and pictures of beaches and endless stretches of golden sand come to mind. It’s here on the Coast that you will find Samantha in her warm and welcoming studio. From this space is born uniquely beautiful works of art that are truly one of a kind. These pieces not only capture the imagination but invite the individual to come in closer and explore.
The Early Days
Samantha was born in Cape Town, South Africa and later, in her thirties, immigrated, with her family, to Auckland, New Zealand before eventually settling on the Gold Coast, Australia.

The true beauty of these cities lay in the diversity of their people. Samantha acquired the skill of connecting with people from varying cultures and traditions. This sense of connection and community is what inspires her work. She aims to change the narrative perceived while growing up that art is only for a select few. Instead, with every brushstroke she aims to create art that connects and is accessible to all.

She displayed signs of creativity from a young age, a gift that was recognized by family and friends. Though pursuing successful employment endeavours in different fields over the years, this passion for art was never quenched. Recently, Samantha took the bold step to complete a Mastery Certificate with the Milan Art Institute whilst homeschooling her two younger sons. She is determined to pursue her professional art career to inspire those around her to know that with a little bit of sacrifice, anything is possible.

Creative juices flow freely when Samantha is at work in her studio. Whether working at cleaning her palette in preparation for her next masterpiece, or working on said masterpiece, her studio is her happy place.

Family and Faith Foundations
Samantha is deeply connected to her faith, a firm faith foundation that moves her to view nature and the world around her as possessing great beauty despite the many problems that exist. Family is of great importance to her and is what keeps her grounded and motivated. Her boys (husband and sons) are her biggest supporters. She values relationships that are genuine; empathy and acceptance are trademarks of her interactions with others. She sees everyone as having great worth with a valuable role to play in this world. This sense of uniqueness and connectedness inspires Samantha to produce works that will resonate with people from all walks of life.
